Hybrid Program

The Year 2 program in Hong Kong is a full-time, hybrid program that includes watching video lessons at home and attending highly-participatory in-person classes once every two weeks for 6 hours on a Saturday. The Year 2 program is taken over 1 academic year (10 months).

Year 2 Courses

Year 2 courses such as Laws of the Kingdom, Excellence in Ministry, Acts: The Power of Supernatural Living, and Making of a Minister teach you how to live out a victorious life as a leader in the Kingdom. In addition to regular classes, students also engage in Inter-Active Groups (IAGs) – workshops designed to help you fine tune and practice skills such as public speaking, preparing teachings, and ministering to others.

Missions

All Year 2 students are required to go on a Charis-planned mission trip as part of their requirements for graduation. We believe that mission trips are a valuable part of ministry training. Students learn how to function as a team in a foreign culture and unfamiliar surroundings, as well as, how to share the Gospel and communicate through an interpreter. These are life-changing trips. Even if you don’t plan to minister on foreign fields, these trips will expand your world vision and grant you insight to help those who are called to missions.

Charis mission trips are typically between 7-10 days in length. Trips are scheduled within the academic year and require students to minister through teaching, evangelism, prayer, and drama to both adults and children of different nations. Locations change from year to year based upon hosts and scheduling restrictions. Students are taught how to raise their own support, as it is their responsibility to make sure they have enough funds for the mission trip.

Upon Completion

Upon successfully completing the Year 2 program, students will receive a Diploma of Practical Ministry, but more importantly, students are well-equipped to live a Holy Spirit-led life that has the potential to change the world!
